Fall clean-up in Tyler, with leaves gone and beds cut back to soil

Leaves off the lawn, beds cleared down to soil, the yard set right before winter.

Chapter 01

What the yard looks like by November

Oak leaves in Tyler do not fall in one weekend. They come down for weeks, mat across the lawn, pack into the beds and sit on the grass until you can no longer see the lawn underneath. Spent stalks and tired shrubs stand in the beds, and the first hard wind drops a few limbs on top of it all.

That is the yard a fall clean-up is for. It is not one big mess but a long list of small ones: leaves, beds that got away from you, stray limbs, and a pile of cuttings with nowhere to go.

How the crew clears it

The backpack blower moves leaves off the lawn and out of the beds, and the mower and string trimmer bring the grass edges back to a clean line. Beds are then cut back and cleared down to soil. Anything standing in the way, like a birdbath or a statue, stays exactly where it was.

Shrubs and saplings that took over the bed come out with the chainsaw. Limbs, leaves and cuttings go on the utility trailer behind the pickup and leave with the crew, so the yard is finished when the truck pulls away and you are not left with bags at the curb.

Chapter 03

Setting the yard for winter

A cleared bed gives you a clean start in spring, with soil ready for fresh mulch and new plantings. Leaves can keep falling late into the season, so the blower may have more to do on a later visit. You can tell a yard is due when you cannot see the grass through the leaf layer.

If Polo already mows your yard, ask for the clean-up on the same visit. Otherwise call or text (903) 245-6122 with your address. Customers say he texts when he is on the way and often sends pictures of the finished work.

Same bed, two photos

Both photos are the same curved brick bed in front of the same house. On the left the shrubs and saplings have taken over. On the right it is cut back and cleared, with winter leaves still on the lawn because the season is not over yet.
